Selected work

Multilingual training, filmed for real

The INROAD skill-training series for ATMA and the Rubber Board of India: one curriculum, filmed in real fields, produced in four regional languages.

The problem

Training has to change behaviour, not just inform

After watching a training film, a worker has to be able to do the task. That is a higher bar than reputation or understanding, and it is where generic video falls short. The learners are often first-timers, spread across regions, and they rarely all speak one language.

  • The correct method has to be shown, not described.
  • One film in one language can never reach the whole workforce.
  • The standard has to hold, long after any single workshop.
A close look at the exact tapping cut a first-time grower has to get right.

Our approach

We design the curriculum before we shoot the film

We start with the learning, not the shot list. What must a worker be able to do at the end, and what does the camera have to show for them to do it right? Then we build the visual curriculum and film it where the work actually happens.

The audience is multilingual, so we build the regional versions in from the start instead of dubbing them later. If the brief is not the whole story, we say so early.

Why it works

Training built to change what people can do

Reach every language

One curriculum, produced in each regional language your frontline speaks, so nobody has to learn it second-hand.

Teach by showing

We film the work as it is really done, by the people who do it, so a learner copies the exact action, not a slide about it.

One standard everywhere

Every language version runs the same visual curriculum, so quality never slips from one cut to the next.

Yours to reuse

You own the films. They keep training new joiners for years, long after any single workshop is over.

How we work

How we make a training film

  1. Learning brief

We define the outcome first: what a worker has to be able to do, and how you will know they can. That brief is what every later decision is measured against.

  2. Field pre-production

Script, storyboard, and shot plan built around the moment of performance. We scout the real site and plan the language versions from the start.

  3. Production on real sites

We film where the work happens, with the people who do it, showing the exact action a learner has to copy.

  4. Edit & on-screen graphics

Cut for clarity, with labels and callouts that make each step unmistakable.

  5. Multilingual delivery

Voice-over and subtitles for each language, one identical visual standard, delivered as a library you own.

Three things we will not trade off, whatever the brief.

Positioning first

Brand Strategy Depth

We start with the learning brief and the positioning, not a shot list. Fifteen years of pattern recognition sits behind every call.

Live crew or AI avatar?

When live action earns its place

AI avatar tools are fast and cheap, and for some training they are genuinely enough. Here is where each one fits, honestly.

A rough guide. Most training programmes end up using both, matched to the topic.

FAQ

Training Video Production FAQs

A few of the questions L&D and operations leaders ask us before a project.

What is training video production?

Training video production is the making of films that teach a skill, a safety procedure, or a standard process to the people who have to perform it. It covers skill and vocational training, safety and compliance films, SOP and process videos, onboarding, and product training. At WowMakers, it starts with a learning brief, not a shot list: we define what a worker has to be able to do at the end, then design the film so it actually teaches that. We have produced live-action training in Indian languages, including the INROAD skill-training series for ATMA and the Rubber Board of India.

Can you produce training videos in regional Indian languages?

Yes. Multilingual production is the reason most clients come to us. For INROAD we produced the full five-chapter curriculum in Assamese, Bengali, Hindi, and Malayalam, so one film set reached first-time growers in their own language. We handle scripting, on-screen direction, voice-over, and subtitles for each language, and we keep the visual curriculum identical across every version so the standard never drifts.

How much does training video production cost in India?

It depends on the number of chapters, the number of languages, how much is shot on real sites, and post-production scope. A single-topic film in one language sits at the lower end; a multi-chapter curriculum produced across four or five languages, filmed on location, sits higher. We scope every project against the learning outcome first, then share a line-item estimate before production begins.

Do you shoot on real sites, or in a studio?

For skill and process training, real sites, almost always. You cannot teach a tapping cut, a machine changeover, or a safety drill from a slide. The INROAD films were shot in working rubber fields with real practitioners. For interview-led or explanatory training, we combine location footage with controlled setups. AI avatar tools can generate a talking head, but they cannot stand on a factory floor and show the work, which is what frontline training needs.

How is a training video different from a corporate or explainer video?

A corporate film builds reputation and an explainer film builds understanding. A training video has to change behaviour: after watching, someone has to be able to do the task correctly. That changes everything upstream, from how the script is structured to what the camera has to show and hold on. We design training films around the moment of performance.

Do you produce safety and compliance training videos?

Yes. Safety and compliance is one of the formats where live action earns its place: a worker has to see the real hazard, the real guard, and the real correct action, in the language they think in. We produce induction safety films, process-specific safety modules, and compliance refreshers, and we version them across the languages your frontline actually speaks.

Do you work across India, or only from Kerala?

We work all across India. Our studio is in Kochi, Kerala, and we have a real strength across South India, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, and Karnataka, which also suits live-action travel. We regularly produce for clients and shoot on sites well beyond the South. For INROAD we worked on natural-rubber training for the Northeast, in Assamese and Bengali alongside Hindi and Malayalam.

How is WowMakers different from other training video companies?

Three things. First, brand and instructional-design depth: we start with the learning brief and the positioning, not a shot list. Second, AI-amplified workflows: AI speeds up translation drafts, subtitle generation, and multi-language versioning, while our team owns the pedagogy and the field direction. Third, end-to-end coherence: we also do branding, UI/UX, and animation, so a training film sits inside the same design system as everything else your organisation puts out.

For the record

Training video production, in plain terms

WowMakers is a training video production company in India, producing multilingual, live-action skill, safety, and process films for frontline and first-time learners. We work all across India, with a studio in Kochi, Kerala, and a real strength across South India: Tamil Nadu, Telangana, and Karnataka. Our multilingual training work includes the INROAD skill-training series for ATMA and the Rubber Board of India, produced in Assamese, Bengali, Hindi, and Malayalam. If you are looking for corporate training video production, safety training videos, SOP or process films, onboarding films, or regional-language versioning, we scope every project against the learning outcome first, then film it where the work happens.
